Whether you’re fed up with what you’re doing now or you really want to improve your existence, you can make an instant decision to change so that you can enjoy a better, more rewarding life. Changing your life around is a journey, but you can handle it, life is all about making changes and grow.
Summer of 2013 I was feeling fragile. Part-time unemployed and full-time nothing, right in the middle of recovering from a recent heartbreak, getting sober and feeling a massive failure in my relationship and business venture that didn’t exactly proceed as I foresaw. Unsure of where to go next but fully present to the fact that it was way past time to go. And going in the direction of my new dreams. Even though I was terrified and doubtful and in my darkest moments, but quite sure I wasn’t making an incredible mistake, I knew unquestionably that it was time to change.
The change I made was sometimes confusing and made me question long-standing beliefs. The insights I gained led me to cut off a toxic relationship(s). By doing so I found a sense of peace and contentment, not having to fulfill false believe of self and the expectations I created around myself and others.
I believe that every journey you take is a spiritual one, as life=spiritual and each journey is a personal one. Are YOU considering making a huge shift? Are YOU ready to find, follow, or commit to YOUR path? If so, I would suggest to begin searching within and ask, What do I want out of life? What excites me — what is my why? Reflect on what life means to you and you’ll have a better sense of how to embark on your own path.
How to put yourself on the road to change?
Open your eyes and HEART and you’ll feel a sense of connectedness to the world and see that you’re a part of something bigger. Put faith in yourself, the unknown and give up trying to control how your life will play out. Trust that there’s something positive to be found even during tough times and that everything is happening as it should. You can always make that choice of whether or not to go into the center of your deepest self, and then back again into the world with a deeper understanding of who you are.
I found that scheduling your changes for later will only serve as an excuse not to make them and try to avoid letting yourself get mired down in reflection. Tidying up your environment, taking good care of yourself, finding support and having patience with yourself are the basic Dos in this process. This way you can connect with your spirit and your own peaceful center.
Once you’ve started, just don’t look back. Don’t think, “What if?” Don’t wonder what would happen if you had stayed on the old path. Things won’t always go smoothly. There will be failures and mistakes and roadblocks on, it won’t be easy. But you’ll get the hang of the new you. You’ll find your groove. And you’ll shine so much brighter and become more confidante and peaceful because you have chosen to be the full YOU.
“Your life is a sacred journey… about change, growth, discovery, movement, transformation, continuously expanding your vision of what is possible, stretching your soul, learning to see clearly and deeply, listening to your intuition, taking courageous challenges at every step along the way. You are on the path… exactly where you are meant to be right now… And from here, you can only go forward, shaping your life story into a magnificent tale of triumph, of healing, of courage, of beauty, of wisdom, of power, of dignity, and of love.” Caroline Adams.
